I have switched from #Ubuntu to #Debian.
But I want to install the latest version of #git via apt. On Ubuntu there's "PPAs", little apt repos for just certain projects. One can add that and them get newer releases for just that. Is there something like that for Debian? Is there something like for Debian? Could I just add that repo url? 😅
Help a new Debian user out. 🙂
@ebel Backports repo is your best bet. Less ideal would be to use an Ubuntu PPA and see if it'll install. But be aware if using a third party repo breaks things, you get to keep both pieces.
