I am getting back into baking biscuits, just in time to get practice in for Christmas!

But with lockdowns, I won't be meeting as many people and won't be able to give them away to people... πŸ˜”

I've got some food colouring on the way, so expect some nicely coloured biscuits too. πŸ™‚πŸ˜‰

Germans seem to do the "bake Christmas biscuits at home" much more than in Ireland or Britain, where it all seems to be bought from shops.

I much prefer the German tradition here. πŸ™‚

One advantage of learning German, is that I can look for recipes, or cooking videos, in German. Then I don't get things in American English, so I get proper units, and terms for ingredients I know are the same, and I can easily get here.

oh wow, I'm even seeing Irish YouTubers using Fahrenheit (first), and saying β€œcookies”, and clearly using cups for recipes. Oh dear.

@ebel yeah, it's pretty normal here to bake your own christmas biscuits
