For a possible side project, I was thinking of writing a simple Lisp based scripting language (since it needs that).

And now I can't get the idea of that out of my head. I can see so many other possibilities, with other projects, to use lisp-based scripting languages.

My project idea is to write a map rendering software. The map style could be a 'data structure', but the more power you give the user, the better, so allowing them to treat the data structure as (lisp) code was a brain wave.

So if I give people basic building blocks, I can see what they're using and replace popular functions/macros with optimized stuff, which is another great benefit!
